oddly enough, I just bought that bike off ebay. Pump & peg were first to go. Sadly the rear wheel did not make it long either. 3 miles into it's reborn life, the spokes lost tension and the rim collapsed into 8 pieces. Was able to completely drop our local training race lead group with 400lbs of big track dudes and a 57x15 gear.
Modernized the drive train, that skip tooth drive was really worn out, and 172.5 cranks are more proportional to the current crew. A few ti seatposts and white walls, and a new terror has been created.
Will take it out to the velodrome here in town next week after I am certain that the bike is ready for the stress.
Wow man, that's awesome!! Could you PLEASE send me some photos of the bike now? Esp if you have one of it in motion on the track?? That would be awesome! I'd love to do a follow up post about it...

Why does a travk bike need a pump and pump pega? Still a great bike, just curious....
