dude, you should see the NEW curbside. It has a 31.8mm flat bar PIPE powdercoated to match the frame. Yes, not only is the clamp diameter 31.8mm, but the ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE BAR is 31.8.

OK, while the 09 Curbside is better than the 08, I'm really liking the 09 Bowery models, especially the '84 & '72. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/lifestyle/2344/32157/
The 08 isn't half bad if you strip off all the argyle.
