AND IT'S ALL MIIINNNNNEZZZzz!!!
ooooooooohhhhh man, oh man, oh man-oh man-o-man-o-man! I certainly have been eagerly anticipating this build for a while now!! Gawk first, words later:
Well, not so much on the photos tho. They're alright but something about them is pretty 'meh'. Like they're missing cohesive balance or something. Then again, it could also be because I had all these grandiose ideas which all fell through the moment I realized that any and all ephemeral/firey type imagery may not go over so well with a predominately white bike if you know what I mean..
In any case, it was a long one in the making and I'm suuuuper excited to finally have it rolling..
It's topped off with all the juicy details worthy of righteous bukkake:

I actually posted the EXACT same frame here on my blog time and time again. Just so happened to be my boy Buddha's Naggie. I BEGGED him repeatedly for two years to give it up to me f/f only. I'm sure he could attest to the fact that I can be annoying as mother fucking shit yet oddly persuasive, hehe. Aaand finally, not unlike any blushing bride on her most specialist of nights, he gave up the goods.. and let me tell you, was it ever worth the effort! The fucking frame is cherry aside from the dropouts :-D
As unbelievable as it sounds, this build seemingly came along on it's own with relative ease. While I did spend a lot of time searching and pondering, it was my patience that ended up being the overal winning factor. It was like sitting at a stream and plucking the truths in life as they floated by..
First of all, when I got the frame I was like, holy mother fucking shit almighty I can't believe I finally own this fucking thing! I was beside myself at it's SPECTACULAR condition. I paid a hiiiiigh price for this bad boy. Fortunately the funds were predominately attained through the sale of parts I got for FREE :-D
I knew that whatever parts I'd end up getting for it, I wanted it to be like the 3Rensho by keeping it along the tasteful lines of NJS bikes without being too concerned about it being full NJS. I remember thinking, man, it would be awesome to put like, DA10 on there wouldn't it? Oh well. I'll have to think of something else. Then like a month later this auction comes up and I totally snagged it. I was like, wow, that fucken kicks ass! Naggie and DA10- sweet! Now I just need some rims..
I looked around for a while trying to find some truly awesome rims to no avail. Then when I was at the Brooklyn Bike Jumble this past summer I saw this dudes bike with the Araya Titty rims on it. All I could think was mmmmMMMAAANN. Those would be STELLAR for the naggie! Slightly matching the DA10 champagne-ish chainring and all. Too bad that one's not going to happen anytime soon! Then once again, right before my trip to Croatia an auction pops up for the same exact rims and I go for it. It was at this point that I was like, okay, this is starting to freak me out. I think about something, and it eventually shows up within reach..
Right, on to Tubulars now.. Obviously no one makes white tubulars and I'm not a huge fan of all white tires anyways so I'm thinking I'm fucked and have to deal with tossing on some Gatorskins. I say deal because while I think they're the best tires all around, I knew they wouldn't look that great against an all white frame..
I searched and searched and searched but nothing good. Until one day I stumbled across the newly released Vittoria EVOs with very decent puncture protection and a little strip of white. Like, holy shit, all black with a little not so obnoxious bit of white on there- AWESOME! Once I saw them a nerdy smile gleamed from one side of my face to the other right as my palm slammed the desk I was sitting at and all I could think of was:
WIN!!!
Ben's Cycle of course filled in the blanks by building up the wheels with the DT Swiss Aerolite bladed spokes (STELLAR FUCKEN JOB DAWGZ!!), the NOS Nitto Slider stem, NOS White Turbo saddle, DA post and pedals/clips/straps..
Feeling more than satisfied with the group I'd assembled, I patiently waited for things to arrive in my ever so hairy palms for assembly..
Then one day after work I was just cruising around killing time before meeting a friend for din-dins when I walked into Chari and Co. I like walking in there and perusing their spot now and again because aside from having a lot of kick ass shit too look at, it kinda feels like your tripping on acid with all the sparkly colorful frames and accessories that covers the place from wall to wall..
Then I saw it out of the corner of my eye. A hint of orange coming from the glass case. It was the embroidery on the back of a Kashimax saddle that read: NAGASAWA
I all but lost it at that point exclaiming- OH NOOO WWWAAYYY??!!!!
While I'm sure I portrayed a somewhat calm and cool exterior on the inside I was bouncing off the fucking walls wanting that saddle so bad. I inquired about the price of it and they said that at the moment it was not for sale and is just one of five or so samples Kashimax put out. Flustered, I put the charm on (puppy dog eyes) and asked (begged) them if there's anyway I could take it off their hands. They were reluctant at first but once I described the group I had had assembled they very generously gifted unto me, a saddle worthy of a build such as this. Tho I think they mostly just wanted me out of their shop as soon as possible. Imagine a baker tossing a loaf of bread down an steep embankment to fend off some hungry beggars. Yep.. When it comes to the acquisition of bike parts I have no shame what so ever. But I mean COME ON! Fucking icing on the cake if there ever was a saddle to be compared to such indulgences!! So a big thanks to the guys at C&C for topping off the build!
And there you have it. Every disturbingly nerdy and douchey detail I could muster about this build. Man.. SO bloody stoked suckaz!.. Can't wait to beat the living fuck out of this beast!!!
I actually rode it to work this morning and the ride was smoooooooth as silk:
p.s. - Whoever caught my stream reference gets a prize!

That shot under the GWB is blocks form my apartment. You in the heights? (I thought I was the only fixed gear rider up in Washington Heights, at least he only one I know of.)
Hey man, nope, I live over in the Jerz not far from the bridge. I'd LOVE to live in the heights tho. Cool little neighborhood!
Thanks man! But yeah, I use Fizik gel under my wrap for added comfort..
Ok, it's official. I hate you. Heh..just kidding..sort of. Another stellar build. What did those wheels weigh in at, so slick. I think you need to find a less-fortunate cyclist and just give him one of your bikes. Spread the wealth.
Dude, the super tiny chainring looks bit wacky, and yeah, sure I know what it is. ;)
No, cool bike. Congratulations!
Noel, I've been telling him that for a long time.
Very nice! Glad to see another beautiful bike!
