Got a bunch of FAPTASTIC ebay finds for yer ass!

RAD Land Shark that just popped up:

Starting bid just $666!

wwwWICKED sexy paint job on this Pinerello:

GOLD Campagnolo ICS road group:

I'm pretty sure those last two are from that Phil guy that everyone loves to hate for overpricing the living fuck out of everything he posts..

Random French TT bike with some really great parts!

The same seller also has this just plain FUCKING STUPID Tandem Colnago Ferrari MOUNTAIN BIKE:

I don't know about you guys but those Ferrari bikes are just like, the dumbest thing ever. It's like, oh gee can I please spend three times as much as I normally would on an overpriced Colnago just because of a fancy pants BS paint job and the Ferrari logo on it? PLEASE?! Fucking retards.. Dude has a bunch more for sale as well..

I esp enjoyed this sellers use of an Aerospoke on the front of his Ferrari MTB:

This is what I would describe as a quadra-loser. 1) Bought a ghey ass Ferrari bike AND NEVER RODE IT 2) Threw a ghey ass aerospoke on the front only 3) Admits to loseing $2000 on the sale of it 4) Most likely will not sell and will keep relisting on ebay until the cost of all the auction insertion fees are equal to that of the asking price.. Grade A Douche here folks- DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU OR YOUR LOVED ONES!!!

Last but not least, my favorites being these two auctions for a MATCHED SET of 1986 J. P. Weigle with Brian Baylis paint Track and Road bikes- SO SICK!!!

fap-fap-fap-fap-fap..

..fap-fap-fap-fap-fap..

..FAP-FAP-FAP-FAP-FAP..

..FAP-FAP-FAP-FAP-FAP..

..SQUWWWEEEEEERRRTTT!!!

Lastly, a word of sound advice: DO. NOT. under ANY circumstances. Get mind obliteratingly stoned and watch any Lady Gaga videos for if you do, you'll undoubtingly find yourself staring down at the same shameful abyss I'm currently reaching terminal velocity in..

..watch it in 1080p on a big screen if you do tho! Freaking video has GOT to be THE most amazing thing I've seen in a really long time. I mean that in a sort of- WOW we're actually LIVING in an Idiocracy world RIGHT. NOW. kinda way. Fucking brilliant!

One word:

BAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Some douche huh?! I just couldn't resist. Went on a rad group ride Sunday that included rain, a kick ass Russian grocery, park police and some BBQ akshun afterwords. I'll post more snaps when they're available. I had my gear with me but didn't get a chance to make any myself. Stupid 2.5's busted up our terrorist style picnic before I had the chance..

Beeeaauuutiful blue Shwinn Paramount Roadie!

I'd be all over this shit if it was my size!

Love that DA7400! Tho I would find myself a set of the STI shifters to replace those DT jams. I actually met a dude who has an ENTIRE group set in mint cond. Just need to find a proper frame to toss it all on otherwise I don't think he'll sell it to me. I mean, you've got to appreciate the mind of another bike snob!

Thanks Karl!!

Hooo-leeee-sssSHIT, this guy is my fucking HERO!

Someone on the NYC fixed board tossed up a link to this dude in Sweden building up his own custom Porteur bike and the way he goes about it with only hand tools for the most part is nothing less than INSPIRING!

Just to give you a glimpse into his ingenuity:

Be sure to scope the thread out when you get a chance to see the rest of it along with the finished product. Freaking thing comes out great!

I mean fuck man, I've essentially got all the same shit right now! The only thing that's really been holding me back is my desire of a refresher course with handling a torch set-up safely. That and some tubing and brazing rod of course. Damn.. Gotta snap to it like ASAP!

Some interesting adapter type stuff for the REAL nerdz!

A reader just forwarded me a link to Tr!ckstuff in response to this contraption..

An eccentric BB adapter?! Pretty awesome!! Here's what the site says about it:

With the Excentriker we have another nice innovation part for your bike. A excentric bottom bracket for standard frames! Fix to standard frames and brings the possibility to adjust the chain tension (for gear hubs and single speed). So you don't need a chain tensioner, adjustable drop outs or tandem bottom bracket any more. The Excentriker is easy to install and brings you a smooth optic on your bike! Fits with single speed cranks with 24mm axle (Hollowtech II stand.).

There's also this neat Headset that prevents you from having to buy one of those god awful Kashimax TT protectors:

Have you ever in a crashed, and scratched the handlebars over your top tube or slammed the triple clamp fork into the down tube? Stupid maneuvers that scar your frame for life. That is the reason why we developed our Tr!cksatz headset which prevents you from knocking your handlebar.

CNC machined of aerospace grade 7075 aluminum, anodized, laser etched logos and with the best angular contact bearings available.

Then there's this Tr!xter Hydraulic Rotor for all you ghey freestylers on your fat tire bikes that want to be able to do barspinzzzz:

Now is “bar spin” time, cause now you can spin you bar 360° - even with hydraulic disc brakes! Or do you prefer 720°? No problem with the TR!XER which replaces the upper headset cups and allows endless bar spinning.

For Dirt Bikers only

They've also got a bunch of other interesting shit so be sure to check it out when you get a chance!

Ghibli Disc on ebay- Prolly approved!

Aaahahaha, I'm sorry man but you have to admit showing up in an ebay auction for a Campy Ghibli disc is pretty amazing!

Keep the harsh words to yourself BTW people! While it might be pretty obvious that I'm not super into the whole fixed freestyle thing I'm not against it either. A lot of haters like to give Prolls shit but it's only because a good percentage of them can't take even a 10th of the credit for doing anywhere near as much to help promote interest in cycling than he has. I guarantee that 90% of the kids who get into freestlying on fixies also get into other forms of cycling. This is DEF not a bad thing in the least! It certainly also helps that John is probably one of the nicest guys I've ever met in the cycling world. Lord knows I can't be that person- I'm WAY too much of a bitter and jaded asshole for that shit! So keep up the good work Prolls and I'll see you around town or at the next Peels..

..now enough with the Merckx's already and get a proper custom you ghey fag!

Two more frames for sale LOCALLY!

Just a couple of nice roadie frames I've had lying around for a while. Need to clean out the shop a bit so here's what I've got:

Still in great working cond and would make for a great locker/trainer roadie. Just dirty and scratched from being stored loose in a shop. NEEDS MATTE BLACK RATTLE CAN JOB! (I would throw down some tape strips over the yellow before painting tho- KILLAH BEE!) $125

Larger pics here, here, here and full build pic here..

Next up is a LARGE 99' Marin San Marino Columbus BRAIN Steel tubing road frame with beautiful chrome stays. 6.39lbs as pictured, 57.5cm CTC TT, 61cm CTC ST, 62cm CTT ST

Delle Case Track Frame FS!

I met the seller of this frame last weekend when picking this up. He was selling it for a friend for $245- how could I resist?! Anyways, he also had this really nice condition Delle Case track frame built up and is looking to sell it since it's a bit too small for him..

JUST TO BE CLEAR THIS IS FOR FRAME/FORK ONLY!

I 'need' the Campy Pista stuff for my own damn self and I'm pretty sure he's going to hold on to the rest of the gear..

Size:

58.5cm CTC TT, 61cm CTC ST, HT just shy of 21cm, Stand Over height about 34"

Great frame for Track Commuting/Training and or SS touring/cruising. Geo is not too super aggressive and is a nice smooth comfy ride. F/R Brake mounts, Water Bottle mount and internal rear brake cable routing..

Not really sure where to price the F/F at since it's not a widely popular brand. Would love to know what shop it originally came out of. Def nice quality by the looks of it! OFFERS WELCOME!!

From what he was telling me this was an in store model frame at a high quality sporting goods/bike shop in Britian I belive..? In any case, the thing is VERY well built and in wonderful condition. Columbus THRON tubing all around and lotsa chrome too!

Any and all questions and info on this frame would be much appreciated!

RAD Hub-Maker Phil Wood Passes Away @ 84

Totally bummed to hear about this today :-(

Tho it was good to see this on their Twitter:

'Hey all, thanks for the kind words about Phil. We are proud to continue his legacy.'

Story via..

BAXTER, IA (BRAIN)—Phil Wood, the man responsible for sealed hubs and bottom brackets, died this week on his farm in Baxter, Iowa. He was 84.

He started the Phil Wood Company in 1971 as primarily a hub maker, though he offered other components. He sold the business to Peter Enright and a group of investors in 1991.

“I feel so lucky to have talked with him about a week before he passed away, and he mentioned again that he was so lucky to sell the business when he did,” said Enright, Phil Wood Company’s president.

“We talked off and on over the years, usually to catch up on news about his friends in the bike business. But he was quite happy to return to the farm after selling the business to help raise his granddaughter,” Enright added.

Wood was a problem-solver working at Food Machinery Corporation. Had he not been bothered chasing bearings for a hub he was rebuilding for his daughter, sealed-bearing hubs might have taken years to hit the bike market, Enright noted.

“He was complaining to Spence Wolf about why no one offered a sealed bearing hub and Wolf told him to make his own hub. A little while later he asked Spence how many he should make. It took Spence a bit to remember what he was talking about. He said make 50 hubs and the business was launched,” Enright said.

Wood’s family is deciding on funeral arrangements at this time.

“I’m glad he and I were able to have that last chat. He was a little bothered he wasn’t as ambulatory as he once was but he was content to move on,” Enright said.
