AWESOME new Milwaukee Bruiser Mini Tall freak bike: HOPE YOU CAN HANDLE IT!!!

aaawwww yyeeeaahh, you read that headline right! MKE Bruiser Mini Tall tricked out with BMX steez- WUT- WUUUUUUT?!!

Larger snaps on my flickr..

Pretty bitchin huh?! Okay, well maybe not so much the photos. Def doesn't help that being unemployed means that I'm back to retouching on my crappy laptop screen instead of the $2000 monitor at my former office. Oh and yeah, if you can't tell, pin striping isn't exactly my specialty at the moment..

Aside from that THE FUCKING THING RULEZ SO HARD I CAN BARELY STAND IT!!!

It rides so. good. Tooootal fucking BLAST to roll around town on, bunny hop up curbs and lean real hard into turns on. Everyone who's given it a go has said the same: 'WTF this thing ROX man!!'

Here's the parts list:

Two heavily modified MKE Bruisers frames
All City New Sheriff Track Hubs laced to Velocity Chukker rims (WTF is with the decal glue?!)
Profile Race Crankset w/Profile racing Euro BB
Tree lite Sproket 48 spline 39T (will trade for same in 42 or 43T!)
Izumi Eco Chain
Animal Hamilton Plastic Pedals
Primo Aneyerlator stem
Volume Bars
Oury Grips
Vintage Turbo Saddle
Thomson set back post reversed
Demolition Vulcan rear U brake
Odyssey Monolever right hand brake
Cane Creek S-3 headset
Fyxation tires

This bike happened after a conversation I had with Prolly one night under the BQE at Peels. He was saying how he mentioned to the guys at Ben's Cycle that it would be funny if they sent me a couple of Bruiser frames to build a new tall bike from and I was like heeeeelllz yeah it would be fucken awesome!! So I gave em a ring and was like- YO SEND ME SOME FRAMEZ SUCKAZ!! And they were like- okay, chill. NOT new frames mind you! Just a couple of already beat on frames they had lying around from their riders. I set to work not long after I got em. Here's what they looked like once first paired:

As you can see from the build I decided to go with a single speed BMX style build up. Having not really ridden BMX since the late 80's, I figured this would be the best and most fun set up for me. That and I kinda had this image in my head of myself cruising down the street on it while smoking a bone. So yeah, SS and a brake seemed like the best choice..

The biggest departure would have to be the new color in my arsenal. As you can imagine after building three orange and black bikes I felt like it was time for a change. I figured a nice green would best suit my taste due to the overwhelming fact that I reside in a relatively radioactive dump of an area in Jersey (1/9 REPRESENT!). Having said that, not ALL of Jersey is a fucked up toxic heap believe it or not. They don't call it the 'Garden State' for nothing!

So I walked up the street to the custom car painting supply place and looked through their color swatches. What I found waiting for me was THE perfect color:

FUCK. YES.

Tho I have to say, something tells me they mixed up Industrial Waste Green with Happy Green. Eh, works for me in any case!

Once it was all said and done I was off to the Philly Bike Expo to hang out and show off my silly freak bikes. People were most def stoked on it! As was I every time I had to run out for something since I made it a point to take this bad boy out every chance I got. I have to say that the thing I like most about this bike, is the fact that I only want to ride the bikes that I've built myself. Like I suddenly don't really have as much interested in riding other labels or collection odd ball shit. Okay, well, that might be just a liiiittle bit of a stretch..

So stay tuned cause I'm sure there's more to come with this one! Like a Gyro and front brake perhaps? Oh and I'm sure Prolly will post some more photos on his blarg from last week when we hung out and he made jump off shit with it. So fun! So retarded!!

HUGE thanks to Prolly and Ben's Cycle on this one! It wouldn't have come together without you extremely handsome and diligent gents!! SO SUPER STOKED ON THIS BIKE!!!

You can also expect a HUGE DIY post in the future with LOTS of nice pics and tips on how to build your very own Mini Tall bike!

Oh and one more thing: The can that I used to spray paint the forks is empty. Just wait til you mother fuckers get a load of what I used the rest on!

This dude SLAYS me!

He's already put together some great home builds in the past and now he's gone and built his own Obree inspired Hour Record bike from balsa wood and carbon fiber:

Tons more info and pics about his process found here..

Oh and Chorbin, would you PLEASE go out and get yourself a decent camera?! The shots work but you at least NEED A PROPER flash or something in that shop of yours. A great trick is to use an optical slave unit taped to the front of you camera's flash (covering it) which is connected to a higher power flash or better still, flasheS. Then bounce them shits off the ceiling. Keep in mind I'm only giving you shit cause your stuff is SO worth seeing and deserves to been seen in richer detail :-)

DYING TO SEE THAT BIKE COMPLETE AND IN AKSHUN!!!

Going away for a few days..

Yup, that's right! Getting the FUCK out of NYC and da Jerz for a few days with my lady from Wednesday til Sunday. Nothing special, just gonna hop on down to Miami and the Keys to enjoy some fun in the sun. Which I'm pretty stoked on after having just battled the high winds head on earlier today while out for a ride..

I say nothing special cause well, it's Florida. No offense to the Floridians or anything but most will agree it can be kinda wack in some areas. By 'some' I mean most BTW. However, it's a cheap 3 hour flight to warmer weather and beaches you can swim at. I've also been down there a bunch of times already with friends in the past so yeah, it just works. Also, Key Lime pie and Mahi-Mahi are two of my favz!

The weather's looking good there this week/end: Low 80's daytime, high 70's at night and the water is about 76° which is like 5° warmer than it ever gets around here. So yeah, time to hit tha mufuckin' beach suckaaaaazzzzz!

I don't really plan to do much in the way of cycling while I'm down there. Tho I wouldn't mind stopping by Business Cycles and anywhere else some of you Floridians might know about that's worth scoping out. Feel free to include events, places to eat, secluded beaches to fuck on and timeshares you have access to that you don't mind me trashing ;-)

TheTripleC@hotmail.com

In hindsight, going on a quick vacation might not have been the best idea after losing my job but whatevz! Shit's already paid for so why the fuck not?!

I'll undoubted be taking photos during most of the trip and with any luck, I'll have internet access here and there so I can post some updates..

Get ready for when I get back cause I've got three completed builds that I can post once I get around to photographing them :-D

Naaasty Nagasawa!

You're gonna wanna bust out the hankies for this one!

ooohh..

iiiiIIGGG!

Now you know why I sold the white one a while back!

More snaps on my flickr along with the slide show..

The story behind this one is that it was on display at Interbike 07' and purchased by Allyson V. not long after. She fell in love with it and took it a few times around the track before relegating it to a wall. It was a little bit big for her but she just wasn't ready to part with it- can ya blame her?! Years later she offered it up on ebay which is where I came into contact with it. With it's unusual matte purple with matte gold decals I just couldn't resist! Not to mention the Sugino Decals on the rear stay and SICK Bottom Bracket cut out!!

The build was obviously a cinch since I just swapped over the DA10 drivetrain, pedals and wheels from my white Nagasawa. With the addition of Gatorskins, Nitto Pearl Stem, Nitto SP72 post and Suede Embroidered Kashimax 5 gold saddle it was complete! Would've LOVED to have tossed the Nitto Slider stem on there but the frame is a hair on the large side of fit for me so it doesn't really make sense to have it on there..

Fucking thing rides ALL TYPES OF NICE! Super smooth and responsive. Much like the last one. Just a little bit bigger. Best part is- now that I'm unemployed I'll actually have time to ride it!

SUPER. SUPER. STOKED.

It's pretty super fuckin' pimp too huh?! Tho I can't even tell you how close I came to tossing some HOTT PINK painted HED3 wheelz on there to give it more of a stripper feel instead. I mean, really, HOW AMAZING WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN?!!

Anyways, more coming soon!!

..meanwhile, in Korea

It's been a hectic past few weeks..

..and now it's time to clean up:

..fucking nightmare

In any case, the Philly Expo was AWESOME to say the least! Great fucking turnout for a first time event!! The 22nd street Armory was packed to the gills with vendors of every type. A lot I'd never heard of too. There was also kick ass local food vendors outside serving up some delicious eats and a trailer with fucking beer on tap out the side of it along with hard liquor..

The overall feeling of the expo was more of a casual party than the typical drummed up stiff old man circle jerk. Just a chill scene with people of every type enjoying a great day out with good conversation, bicycles, food and drink. So yeah, it was pretty fuken awesome! Suuuuper stoked for next years expo- it's sure to be that much bigger and better!

I had a little space off in the corner and spent time screwing around with one of my latest creations that put a question mark on many a face. Don't worry, I'll have photos of it soon! I just have to install the flux capacitor and she'll be officially ready for time travel..

I didn't really have a lot of time and energy to take as many photos as I would've liked but here's the few that I did:

Some really, really good shit on hand. The Prollz was there as well so you can always scope out his blarg for more snaps..

I also managed to pick up a a few sweet parts at the Jumble just outside:

A NOS Campy C Record headset for $90:

aaaand then a set of Campy Sheriff Star Track wheels for $200:

Yes, of course there's a catch! While the lock ring threads are perfect the cog threads are a little fucked up in one spot. Which essentially doesn't matter in the least! I'll just thread a chunk of coke can in there on that spot and be gtg..

So yeah, good shit. Make sure to get your lazy fucking ass out to the expo next year if you pussed out this year..

In the meantime, I've got to get back to cleaning up. God not having a job kicks so much ass it's not even funny! I find myself wondering whether it's Saturday or Sunday still, hehe..

More soon bitches!

Philly Expo Guide Book: FUCKING DONE!! THEN I GOT LAID!!!

As some of you may already know my official profession is in Magazine/Book Production. As opposed to my more well known profession of being a total fucking dumbass! hehe.. idiot

Anyways, Steve (Bilenky) came to me a few weeks ago with this project wanting to have it done in time for the Expo this weekend. They essentially had nothing done other than having some text and photos in for it from the various exhibitors. A good portion of which were not hi-res enough for print..

Basically, I knew that if I didn't take on the project, it wouldn't be completed. So I WORKED MY FUCKING BALLS off hooking the Bilenky boys up with some proper book publishing skillz. Well, proper as in getting the fucking thing done in next to no time. Which just happens to be my specialty..

All I have to say is: Good thing my dealer has been out of town!

After a lot of back and forth and many a sleepless night, I managed to get the fucker under control and out the door. My bro in Law works for Galvanic Printing so I had him print the book. Galvanic has been in business for something like 100 years so the place is fucking AWESOME with tons of old shit everywhere and lots of things that are brown. I'm gonna do a photo project on the place if I can..

I rolled over there earlier today to check on how things were going. They have a lot of weird looking machines there that do awesome stuff really loudly and smell-illy..

Of course they just happened to be working on the page Prollz is on..

Some gets tossed out..

One of the many printers that have on site:

The Roland 100 in akshun:

So yeah, I'm pretty excited about how it turned out! I certainly would've liked to have had more time and been better well organized. Tho considering how much work we got done in the time we had is pretty damn amazing! I can assure you that next years Guide book will be slaytastic to say the least :-)

For those of you attending the expo WHICH YOU WOULD BE STUPID NOT TO I'm pretty sure they'll be included on the higher priced two day/seminar admission. It you're only going for the day I think it's a few bucks extra. Which is totally worth it since it's not just like some sucky brochure. I mean, if I can WAIVE MY USUAL PRODUCTION FEE to help support the expo, you can shell out a few bucks too. If you don't I'll toss your stingy fuckin' ass out tha DOH!

Anyways, not long after I left I spotted this Greg Lemond TVT 92:

I nearly blasted a healthy load all over those grey campy Deltaz- SICK!!

So yeah, I'm just about as deeeessttrrroooyyyeeddd as I've ever been in a long time..

The one consolation I have is that once I have tomorrow and the weekend behind me I'll finally be able to kick back and catch up with everything I've let fall to the waist side the last few weeks..

Oh and the fact that I FINALLY GOT MUUUUUTHER FUCKING LAID OFF FROM MY ASSFUCKTARD SHIT JOB yesterday means I'll have that much more time on my hands-

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Stoked much? I think so!

Now I'll have even more time to do anything and everything that has nothing to do with having a schedule. So yeah, expect lots of blogging in the near future- AHM COMIN' 4 U PROLLS!!!

Oh and I'm pretty good money wise. 5 weeks of severance pay and unemployment to come :-) Not to mention the retardedly vast collection of cycling gear I can auction off if need be. Oh and the two dudes who want to buy some DA10 off me- sorry guys! I'll get back to you soon..

So don't worry Ben'z- I got y'all covered for the WICKED GNAR order that you beautiful mother fuckers hooked me up with:

ZOMFG I was loving every second of opening that package! The bikes that shit went on are fucking.. reddic..

Okay so yeah, time for me to hit the mother fucking hay cause I got another long one tomorrow. Hope to see a lot of you fuckers down in Philly this weekend! Steve (Bilenky) hooked me up with a booth to display my silly freak bikes at. So come find me and watch everyone there who knows what they're actually doing point and laugh at me a bunch, hehe. shit..
